Protection, Resettlement, and Integration:
Trends and Challenges in Serving African Refugees and Immigrants
MAY 16 - 17 , 2013•SHERATON PENTAGON CITY•900 SOUTH ORME STREET•ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA 22204
The Ethiopian Community Development Council’s banquet is held every year in conjunction with our national conference on African refugees and immigrants. At the banquet, ECDC recognizes the accomplishments and contributions that African newcomers make to their new homeland as well as to their countries of origin. We also invite and recognize those who continue to advocate on behalf of African refugee and immigrant causes locally, nationally, and globally. The banquet brings together a diverse group of individuals for an evening of entertainment, a festive meal and an opportunity to honor those who have helped to inspire and make a difference in the lives of African newcomers.
This year’s banquet is especially meaningful as ECDC is celebrating the 30-year anniversary of its founding in 1983. We invite you to join us on this occasion as we celebrate the past three decades and envision our renewed commitment for the years ahead.
